What started as a fan design competition has taken on a far deeper meaning.
The club opened the door to creatives, inviting supporters to shape a special edition kit. From a wide range of entries, it was Timmermahn’s design that stood out. His painted spot pattern, bold and full of character, was chosen as the winner and brought to life on the pitch.
It is a striking look. The scattered, hand-painted style gives it energy and makes it instantly recognisable. There is nothing overly polished about it, which is exactly why it works. It feels personal and expressive, true to the idea of a fan creating something for the club they support.
Since its selection, the context around the kit has changed. Following Timmermahn’s passing in March, the shirt now carries a different kind of weight. What was already a unique collaboration has become something far more lasting.
