Few clubs have a look as instantly recognisable as Paris Saint-Germain.
The challenge each season is finding a way to refresh that famous centre stripe without losing what makes it unmistakably PSG. Somehow, they keep managing it.
This time, the inspiration comes from the rhythms and sounds that echo through Paris and beyond, with the iconic stripe taking on a more energetic form. The subtle shifts and gentle waves running through the design give it a sense of movement, almost like soundwaves travelling across the shirt.
It’s a relatively small tweak, but one that gives the familiar look a different feel.
Then there’s the badge.
Is that an iridescent finish we spy? If so, it’s another detail that adds a little extra flair without taking attention away from the centrepiece of the design.
The interesting question is whether PSG have mastered the art of evolution better than most clubs. While many sides completely reinvent their home shirts year after year, Paris often seem content to make small adjustments to an already iconic formula.
Perhaps that’s why the shirts remain so recognisable.
The core identity never disappears, but there’s always enough newness to keep things interesting.
