With the Premier League coming to a close, we consider your opinions on the greatest ever Premier League XI. A hotly debated topic: what is the greatest Premier League XI? According to your votes, it goes like this…

Of course there are lots of elements in play when making your decisions here: who you support, how many games you’ve seen the players in, longevity, what they’ve gone on to achieve after the Premier League, and lots more.

GK – Peter Schmeichel. The Manchester United 90s legend takes it from your votes but who was there to challenge him? Van Der Sar? Cech? Not many have the longevity as well as the trophies to challenge The Great Dane.

RB – Gary Neville. The right back turned pundit takes another slot for 90s Man Utd. Noticeable challengers include Zabaleta and Walker. Possibly the only real challenge in the next 10 years will come from Alexander-Arnold.

CB – Rio Ferdinand. Manchester United remain prevalent as Rio takes one CB spot.

CB – John Terry. JT was supreme for Chelsea. Other CBs that just missed out include: Stam, Vidic, Kompany and Adams. Will Van Dijk break into this team in the next few years?

LB – Ashley Cole. Had to be.

RM – Ronaldo. The greatest player to play in the Premier League.

CM – Gerrard. Missing the trophies but makes the team.

CM – Scholes. Has more than enough trophies for both CM positions. Does the team have enough of a defensive minded CM combination?

LM – Giggs. Had to be.

FWD – Shearer. The all time top scorer had to make this team. In years to come, perhaps Harry Kane will challenge here.

FWD – Henry. A divine player. The beautiful game personified.

I know this is subjective but, who would your eleven be? Let us know…
