Last on the list, but nowhere near least; this third shirt from Wycombe and O’Neills is so far up my street that it’s let itself into my house and got into bed with me.
The slight twist on the Wycombe quarters from the home strip is here again, the same layout in fact, but this time in red and white which just works a treat.
There’s a different sponsor, Cherry Red Records, and their white logo in a framed red rectangle sits bang in the centre of the quarters perfectly.
This shirt is a nod to the one Wycombe wore away at Leicester 20 years ago when Ceefax striker Roy Essandoh was the hero in an FA Cup quarter final. With Wycombe at their highest point in the league ever and a belter of shirt like this tied to it, there could be plenty more fond memories for Chairboys fans tied-up in red and white.
3 out of 3 for Wycombe and O’Neills, in my book. A lot I like.
