Launched to pay the bills homage to Rangers’ famous 1976/76 45 years ago, this white and red half and half shirt is similar to the one worn that year, and in Europe the year after. 45 years isn’t a major mark as far as I’m concerned, but it seems as good a reason as any to get another shirt out there to twang on the strings of nostalgia.
In layout this seems to be the same as both the home and away shirts from QPR and Erreà. It’s a nice layout mind you – smart collar and cuffs – but would a bit more of a stretch somewhere along the line have been that much more effort?
The major difference is the colours, of course, and it’s fine for me. It’ll likely mean a lot more to QPR fans than me, though, which is the main thing really.
As in most cases, the youth version minus sponsor is an upgrade on the adult version.
