Another piece of eye candy from ‘Boro and Hummel that is best enjoyed with a squint so that the sponsor looks regular sized.

Nostalgia is to the fore again, with the blue and black stripes an homage to the popular away kit the club wore in 2001/02 when the Riverside Stadium was born. The stripes just work, and there’s plenty of other trimmings in blue or white to break up the black background, whilst the stadium coordinates on the home short also make an appearance here. Bonus points for stripes down the back, too.

Annoyingly, it all serves as the perfect platform for the sponsor to display their massive betting bat signal in jumbo white lettering. Cue green face queasy emoji.

Again, the junior version is better for being sponsor-less, although this one doesn’t quite pull it off as successfully as the home shirt.
