It’s fine, it all works, it all matches, it just doesn’t have the same ‘pop’ as the other 2 Luton shirts this season. In fairness that’s like going on stage after The Beatles, though.
Again, Luton and Umbro have been thoughtful in their colouring – the sponsors are onboard with their logo in Luton orange with some asymmetrical white and orange highlights across the chest.
It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly where it stumbles, but maybe it’s the two shades of blue used in the background – they don’t quite hit the mark together to my eye, but that could just be me. For whatever reason I’d prefer the lighter shade on top of the darker, but this has really drifted into reviewer personal shirt fetishes now.
Generally speaking, good shirt work down at Kenilworth Road this season.
