One that’ll likely divide opinion, I think. It’s not really for me – I see it as a red shirt with a bit of blue trim and a blue pattern across the chest like I’ve just brushed up against some wet paint in my nice new red shirt. I’d be furious.

However, this may mean more to the Rovers fans than it does to me – that pattern is the sight of their Riverside Stand seating, apparently. I can’t pick-it, but don’t really know what I’m looking for.

The sponsor isn’t for me either, really – I like the logo but not the font used underneath it (although it works better here than on the home kit). That’s picky, I know, but if we’re not looking for shirt perfection then what are we actually doing here?

In a world where plenty of clubs seem to run out of ideas after boxing-off the home shirt, marks are at least gained for trying something different.
